DOROTHY BLACKHAM
ARTWORK ABOUT ACHILL ISLAND

        1896 - 1975
        Irish illustrator, artist and teacher.
        Born in Dublin.
        Lived from 1947 to 1967 in London.
        Visited regularly Achill Island as she was related to Noel and Joan Scanlon,
        the proprietors of the Amethyste Hotel in Keel.
        She collaborated extensively with Cuala Press from the Yeats sisters.
