DOROTHY BLACKHAM
ARTWORK ABOUT ACHILL ISLAND

        1896 - 1975
        Irish illustrator, artist and teacher.
        Born in Dublin.
        Lived from 1947 to 1967 in London.
        Visited regularly Achill Island as she was a sister of Thea Boyd (nee Blackham)
        who was the proprietor of the Amethyst Hotel in Keel.
        She collaborated extensively with Cuala Press from the Yeats sisters.
